In a field of 248 competitors, UrbanFlow finished in 3rd place, holding his own in sets versus everyone he played against including 2 wins against competitors whom finished in the top 10. UrbanFlow was pleased with his showing, saying “My overall feel about the tournament was very good. I’m starting to see results from all the grinding I’ve been doing, and getting 3rd place gives me a lot of motivation to keep at it and try to qualify for Capcom Cup.”

UrbanFlow went into his opening pool games confident a prepared to win, only dropping one game to Chris Nguyen over his 3 matches in pool play. He would go on to win his pool and go on to the Top 32.

In the Top 32 UrbanFlow faced top competition and was unstoppable. He beat Circa’s LPN 2–0 in the Winner’s Semi-Final and go on to beat NickTanella 2–1 in the Winner’s Final. UrbanFlow would go on to advance to the Top 8 from his pool along with Mastaskillz who went on to finish 2nd in the tournament.

Urban entered the Top 8 Winner’s Semi-Final still riding the momentum from his phenomenal Top 32 performance, beating Nightmare2450 3–0. Urban moved onto the Winner’s Final to face PR-Balrog, losing a hard fought set 3–1. UrbanFlow was sent down to the Loser’s final to face Mastaskillz, a relatively unknown player in the SFV pro scene who upset pros such as Commander Jesse and FChamp. UrbanFlow opened the best of 5 final with not one but two back to back perfect knockouts. After that amazing showing, Urban unfortunately fell to Mastaskillz 3–1.

Silver Sanction’s staff have been friends and supporters of UrbanFlow for awhile now. “Mizey” the COO of Esports for Silver was quoted saying, “ “It’s been fun having UrbanFlow on the FGC roster. After failing to make it out of pools at Norcal Regionals, me and him talked and he told me that when he got back home, he would be doing nothing but grinding SFV. All I can say is he did not disappoint, and I’m glad to be working with him.” It’s obvious that UrbanFlow has been working hard to get to where he is now, his hard work and dedication is what makes his such a great players. And its that same hard work and dedication that will propel him to the top of the SFV pro scene.
